Mahayogi Yoga Mission, New York presents…

The Ever-Present Guidance of the Avatara
(It’s Tough Being a Man)

For the occasion of Sanatana Dharma Avatara Mela, the Grand Celebration of the Divine Manifestations of Eternal Truth, the NY Sangha would like to offer this original play.

Drawing its inspiration from the beloved Japanese family comedy-drama Otoko Wa Tsulaiyo, or It’s Tough Being a Man, we hope to capture in this one small snapshot the spirit of Sanatana Dharma and how the ever-present guidance of the Avatara can intertwine into the common scenes of daily life and draw us one-by-one, and all together, ever closer to the Eternal Truth.

The grace of the Avatara pervades all and guides each one according to his or her own nature. No moment in our daily lives is too common, no moment is wasted, and there is no moment that cannot have meaning and purpose—the guidance of the Avatara is always right there, as long as we open our eyes, ears, and hearts to receive it!
